Ok, I am not a football fan but I know some of you are, and since the World Cup is going to start in less than 24, I thought an own thread might be necessary. 
Honestly, I wish it was already over!!
Since months Germany is going totally crazy. No news, shows, commercials etc without football. But today it has reached its climax!!!!! I've just watched news - half an hour - and they had 6 topics concerning football.
One thing I really like to see, are the fans from all over the world and how they are enjoying themselves here. You see them celebrating everywhere on TV.
Another thing I've noticed is the spread of German flags. I think for other nations it is totally normal that people have flags hanging in their house or garden (not all of course...) but if you see it here, people guess "Hm, may he/she be a Nazi."
But not at the moment!!! Suddenly all the Germans like to show their nationality. A lot of flags in the cities but also in the small village where I live.
So, although I don't like football very much, I am very happy for all the fans. I am sure they'll have a great time here.
Btw, I've just heard that our team captain Michael Ballack is definitely out for the first match tomorrow.

Now the world would think again that those (together with dirndl's) are the national costumes of Germany. NOOOOO, it's only Bavarian!!!!!
